The show “A Day in Helen’s Life” is an adaptation of the play “You'll see!” by Austrian writer Helmut
PESCHINA.
It’s the simple story of an (un)lived life, told by a woman celebrating her seventieth birthday. We’re not
entirely sure if she is actually seventy – at least, that’s what she tells her best friend, Kiki the parrot,
who’s helping her set the table for the occasion. At 9:00 p.m., the guests are due to arrive – the entire
Bernstein family – because surely the most beautiful thing in life is family, isn’t it?
And yet, why is it that we so often come face to face with the most dreadful of feelings – loneliness?
We invite you to experience a day in Helen’s life, watching as though through a pair of binoculars, right
in the kitchen of her flat. The luckiest among you might even will get the chance to help her prepare a
special dish – her signature cabbage salad.
