The play "A Very Simple Story" is a production about the relationship between parents and children, forbidden love, and people who have stopped dreaming. Why is the story simple? Because it’s about two young people in love: she is the only daughter of a wealthy couple, and he is a motherless boy with an alcoholic father.
Their love is, of course, forbidden – a kind of modern-day Romeo and Juliet. The story is, indeed, very simple – until it becomes complicated, when the parents find out about their relationship and about… the future grandchild.
